What were the origins of FUSION?
FUSION was developed by a team from our Church who had led worship for several years at Easter People in Torquay and Scarborough. Several members of the core worship team were from Billericay Methodist Church, and we felt challenged to try to bring the same worship style back to our own Church.
So what is FUSION?
In a nutshell, FUSION is all about our relationship with God in our day to day lives. It aims to blend the traditional pillars of faith with daily life. Traditional themes are presented through modern media – a fusion of old and new.
Is there a FUSION style of worship?
Challenging and relevant preaching. How do the challenges and promises from God affect current issues and themes. We often raise questions and focus on the practical and experiential rather than the theoretical.
Worship may include:
- Band-led worship. All style songs – lively, contemplative, old and newer.
- Prayer and reflection. Poetry and meditation.
- Multi-media, sound and vision.
- Opportunities to participate. Shared experiences.
Who is FUSION aimed at?
Everyone is welcome. We aim to help each other explore a relationship with God as an intrinsic part of our lives. We all have failings, we all have questions. Come and see!
What can you expect at FUSION?
A warm welcome – and a challenge.
When is FUSION?
1st (or occasionally 2nd) Sunday evening in each month at Western Road. Start time 6.30 pm. Finish time 7.45 pm (spirit permitting).
