Each Wednesday morning at 10.15 a group varying in number between 8 and 12 meet together for informal Bible study and sharing. We look at teaching, the lives of different characters in the Bible, listen to CD discussions with questions on various topics or watch a DVD on a particular subject and then share our own experiences and understandings as we seek to journey together.
The atmosphere is friendly, warm and open as we look at issues that affect our daily lives and seek to discover more ways of working out our faith in a changing world.
Occasionally we have a meal out together which is a pleasant way of strengthening our friendships and appreciating each other’s needs.
Time preparing to lead worship at Queen’s Park, when we take a Local Arrangement, can be both challenging and encouraging, as each member contributes and prepares for their part in the service. So far we have taken 3 such services and while it has helped each of us in the group we hope and pray it will have encouraged those worshipping.
We have just finished a series looking at “Women in the Old Testament” where we learnt about the lives of women we knew little of. This autumn we shall be covering a similar series based on “New Testament Women”. These have been interesting as we discovered how their faith helped them meet the difficulties and problems they faced.
Should you want to drop in and join us, you will be assured of a warm welcome.
