This year it’s on Saturday 23rd September from 10am – 4pm and will be based at Linford Methodist Church with a chance to stretch your legs (weather permitting) beside the Thames at Coalhouse Fort. There will be talks and discussions, bible study, worship and fellowship and a whole lot of fun – all based on the next yearly theme for the church which is Outward Generosity. If you’d like to take part then sign as soon as possible on the registration forms in the foyer at Western Road (WR) or on the main notice board at Queens Park – note that there are no creche or children’s activities provided but older teenagers are very welcome to attend. On the registration form, you can indicate whether you need or can offer transport to Linford, and you can order your lunch from the local chippie that will be paid for on the day.
For more information on our Away Day theme of Outward Generosity see the “Our Theme for the Year”.
Each year we hold an Away Day so that we can get together, and prepare for the new church year that starts on the 1st September. The Away Day is one of three events over the Summer each with a different focus. This year we took part in a day of Old Testament Bible study at Trinity Church, Basildon in May and then had a day of fun and games for children in July at Lake Meadows, Billericay.
