A Christingle service is a special service for the Christmas season with particular appeal for families with young children. Combining the singing of carols, the nativity story and the lighting of candles it captures the excitement and mystery of this very special time of year. As part of the service a Christingle is presented to all the children to light on Christmas Day as part of the main family meal. During the Christingle service the lights are dimmed and candles are lit. The Christingle consist of an orange decorated with fruit and a red ribbon, and with a small candle inserted in the top. The significance of each of these elements is explained during the service as we give thanks for all the good things we enjoy and remember the life and death and resurrection of Jesus.

Come early to avoid disappointment as these services are very popular
