Worship
Due to the Coronavirus our usual pattern of worship is currently suspended. Please see details Here for links to worship opportunities.
St Andrew’s Methodist Church Herongate sits on the junction of Brentwood and Billericay Roads in Herongate. Visitors often comment on the prayerful atmosphere in the Church and the warm welcome they receive. The building is traditional Essex timber structure enhanced by beautiful stained glass windows.
Sunday Morning Worship is held weekly at 10.30am, with a Communion Service usually on the 3rd Sunday of each month, and there is time for coffee and a chat after the service.
With a congregation drawn from the local village and further afield you can always be assured of a warm welcome.
Herongate Community Garden
Early in 2018 we began to redevelop some disused and overgrown allotment plots at the rear of the church in order to provide a resource for the local community. Designed both for those who would like to garden and those who would just like to come and sit and appreciate the beautiful surroundings, we are now 18 months into the process and have cleared, planned and created four distinct areas to be enjoyed.
In line with growing environmental awareness we have tried to reclaim, reuse and recycle as much as we can and are grateful for the dedicated and enthusiastic team that meets each Saturday morning between 9.00am – 12 Noon to tend and develop the garden and for all those who have given us plants to stock it.
So come and join in – its great fun!
